Lifetime Traceability

Every Cape Grim Beef animal is individually traceable for its whole life. Traceability is recorded using NLIS tags and further strengthened through Greenham’s comprehensive record-keeping. Where all NEVER EVER cattle are bred, born, raised and finished on NE-accredited properties, we can be 100% confident that cattle are raised in accordance with the program from birth to slaughter.

Third-Party Audited

Producers participating in our programs undergo rigorous third-party audits to ensure they meet all program requirements at all times. Auditors, including those from Livestock Integrity Solutions Australasia, are repeated periodically to maintain accreditation.

Verified Claims

We collaborate with leading organisations to verify our claims, ensuring our programs meet some of the industry’s most trusted standards — including verification from QMS Project Verified™ and Certified Humane®.

Cape Grim, Tasmania

Traced from this place — and nowhere else.

Cape Grim’s traceability story begins with geography. Every animal in the Cape Grim Beef program is born, raised, and finished on farms in north-west Tasmania — a defined, audited region where the air quality, pasture management, and farming practices meet our strict program requirements. There is no blending with cattle from other regions or programs.

Each animal carries a National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) tag from birth. This tag records every movement — from paddock to saleyards to processing facility — creating an unbroken chain of custody. When combined with Greenham’s lot-level processing records, every cut on your plate can be linked back to an individual animal and the farm it came from.
